Air vents

Hi everyone. Hope someone can help.
I have a gas fire and back boiler for my central heating. We do not use the gas fire in the front room. Is it safe to block up the air vent if we just use the back boiler for the heating?
Thanks in advance,
Laura

No. The back boiler pulls in its air supply from the room, and vents up the chimney or out the flue, just like the gas fire does.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
Blocking up the air vent could mean you might die, so it really depends how much you want to liveI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0
