Copied car park pass

Hi All
We oversee a number of holiday properties and have always copied and laminated passes - mostly in case the guests drive away with the original and we need an emergency pass. This has been standard practise by many agents and owners for years without any problems.
This weekend several guests have been ticketed by Armtrac on a private car park advising that the permits were invalid. I have contacted the block management company to ask where in writing it states no copies are accepted and was basically told its just the way we do it......
Has anyone else had this problem? Im unable to ignore it as we dont want guests to get hassled when they get home.....we are of course appealing the charge but wondered if anyone had any advice? Thanks

IPC member so its do as you please
the best option is a cancellation by whoever contracted armtrac and get some spare passes issued or whatever suits everyone0 -
Check your lease / freehold. If there is no mention of passes, then withdraw from the scheme and sue Armtrac should they trespass onto your space to stick their tickets on.
You and your guests are entitled to the peaceful enjoyment of the space you own/lease without interference of the agent of the BMC - who you can also sue.
Get a solicitor onto it and send a warning letter to both with regards to any costs you incur in protecting your lease and enjoyment will be coming from them. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Is not a valid answer to a perfectly reasonable question!
How can you appeal being niether the driver or the keeper, they will just reject it and send a demand to the registered keepers anyway?
As for the passes going walkies, why not put a £25 returnable deposit on them?0 -

Therefore you must continue to press the management company to get the tickets cancelled. Don't take any s**t from them, remind them who they work for (that would be you), and that you never agreed to such a system which is meant to deter those you don't want there, no penalise genuine residents.
[A thought: you could pay the tickets in order to keep happy guests, and then sue the PPC AND the management company for your money back]0 -
Get on to this right away, adverse feedback on booking.com and tripadviser could serious affect your wealth. These companies have nearly brought Morrison's to its knees. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
