Pcn

Right okay where do I start.
Well first of all I visited darlington and used the halfords car park. Which is free for a maximum of 2 hours. They have signs which I've never really seen before placed around the car park stating I will receive a pcn if I stay over the 2 hours stay. Well I returned from shopping with my girlfriend and got in the car and went home. Few weeks later I received this pcn from premier park Ltd saying I stayed in the car park for 2 hours 22 mins. They told me I had to pay £80 or £40 if it was within the 14 days. I researched around abit and asked friends who have been in the same situation and they told me I should just ignore all contact with them and they will soon stop with the letters. So I stuck to it and ignored them. A few weeks later, I received another letter saying because I havnt paid I will have to pay the full amount, not paying will result I'm additional charges etc etc. Few more weeks down the line I receive a letter from ZZPS saying I owe £172 now, I continued to ignore. Today I received a letter from wright hassall solicitors, who have been instructed by ZZPS who are acting on behalf of premier park Ltd. It mentions that if I don't pay within the next 14 days it may result in recommending to there client that they pass it over to the litigation department(no idea about this). This may mean they will look to obtain a county court judgement. The impacts of have a ccj against me may impact my credit rating and so on. I've not made contact at all and want to know Wether I just stick this out until they hopefully stop or Wether it's gone to far and I should do something about it.

The advice to ignore has not been given on this site since the law changed in 2012. It sounds like you need better informed friends, or to do more up to date research yourself.
Please read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES that has all the up to date information on how to deal with this.
Premier Park Ltd are BPA members and this could easily have been seen off with a two stage appeal.
You can safely ignore debt collectors, the NEWBIES thread tells you why. I suspect right hassle are acting as debt collectors in this case but we would need to see a copy of the letter to be sure.
You can continue to ignore if you wish and hope you don't receive real court papers, or you could try a late appeal using the BPA template in blue from said NEWBIES thread.
What happened when you complained to the Halfords manager?I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
Whilst you should read the thread on ignoring debt collectors, as this is a letter from a solicitors, i would be tempted in any case to do a formal response and deny the debt disputing liability.
WH are issuing court claims and it is shocking IMO that they were allowed to oversee the POPLA stayed cases and a serious conflict of interests.
I would be minded to make a complaint to the CSA and SRA if they do not refer the matter back to the creditor.0
