Is there much stuff on that account which your daughter needs to access?
If not, then I'd be tempted to set up a completely new, local account on the computer for her (so the computer has 2 accounts), and transfer her files across between the two accounts. It could be a local account, let's call it "DD" for now (you could use her name instead).
Then you can login as DD, copy files across, and go into the Windows Store and associate your account if you wanted, but be careful to look for the option to 'Sign in to just this app instead' (can't remember the exact wording) and use that, which would hopefully avoid the problem you had before. Basically you shouldn't type in your hotmail account's password twice during that process, only once.
You could leave your hotmail account on the computer as Administrator and make your daughter's DD account a Standard user, depending on whether she really needs Administrator access. You'd need to help to install software in that scenario when required.
Or you could create another Admin account for your daughter (DDAdmin), and then once you've checked that works and has admin rights, delete the account which has been associated with your hotmail account.
It's good practice to have a non-Admin account for main day-to-day usage and an Admin account for the specific times when you need to install software. I do it myself on my own laptop.
One thing to be careful of - you must be careful that at least one Admin-level account exists at all times.0 -
It isn't an error. MS do try and steer you towards using a MS account to log onto Windows though so you have to be careful and properly read all the prompts to make sure you are not doing anything you don't want to do.IMO it was not a huge error to log in to another computer using my Hotmail details to download an App and I had no idea this would entail the PC effectively having me as the 'owner' of the PC.
However, error or not, the purpose of my post was simply to seek help in getting out of the situation.0
