It depends on what value has declared for probate. In the case under discussion then there is probably no problem. Nevertheless to sell at too low a value to avoid CGT is absurd since selling at a higher price will still yield more net even after CGTgetmore4less wrote: »What CGT issue?

Estates don't pay CGT on DOD values even if just prior to death sale would have resulted in CGT.0
