Lidl LED floor reading lamp, illuminant not replaceable

Seems rather wasteful that the whole lamp including the stand, base etc has to be dumped if the "bulb" goes! By which I mean the illuminant, ie LED array.

Yet the warranty details says "Wear parts (such as bulbs) ... are excluded"

Any ideas how long these LED lights will last?

    It really depends.......

LEDs typically upwards of 50'000 hours.

Other parts are more likely to go first, like in cheap LED bayonet style bulbs, the inductors drift off and expose the LEDs to higher than normal operating voltages, causing them to blow open or short circuit.

In low voltage lights (powered by main adaptors or batteries), the LEDs don't typically suffer if/when the power supply fails.

If the bulb cannot be replaced, then most likely the light has an internal or external mains adaptor.

Non-replaceable components are also found in modern smartphones - the batteries!
