There is no reason why you couldn't take out another policy if it's cheaper but if you did this, it would be very unlikely to provide any cover for the October holiday for losses due to the gall stone problem as this is a pre-existing condition.beattiesman wrote: »what i was wondering was if its to expensive with them should i just take out another policy if i can get cover for him & would it cover the holiday i have already booked for october .0 -
I've had gallstones for years with no problems but had to cancel last year's holiday because it suddenly got painful. I phoned the insurance company & they wouldn't cover me anymore, the choices were try to get insurance elsewhere (they offered names of companies) or cancel the holiday & claim. I was in so much pain that I cancelled & claimed.
I suppose the answer to your question depends on what you're quoted, go for whichever option is cheaper.
By the way, I hadn't told the insurance company about the pre-existing gallstones but they paid out with no fuss.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0 -
You may find insurance will not cover him if awaiting a hospital appointment.0
