Voss as a ski resort for families ? any experience ?

First of all has anyone any experience of this resort. I'd be looking to take my 10 and 9 year old, and also a 4 year old and a 2 year old. Only the oldest kids would ski, I would just look after the other two. We are particularly interested whether the train to Voss stops en-route nearer the airport. From what I can gather from google maps, the train loops round within a mile or so of the airport (we could taxi this). We desperately want to avoid going all the way into Bergen and back out - is it possible ?
Also, any recommendations for Voss in general ?
In general we are looking for a trainable ski resort (kids are hopelessly ill in cars/buses) from one of the airports.
Many thanks

Not sure about voss as i've only been from the Bergen/Flamm side but what about considering Lillehammer? - You can fly to Oslo and it's only a short train ride and then you'd have all the olympic facilities to use/look around.0

Voss is a wonderfully unspoiled and typically charming Norwegian ski village with a captivating lakeside location in the heart of Norway’s fjord country. Its uncrowded slopes, genuine hospitality and ease of access on scheduled flights, have made it a year-round favourite with British visitors. As one of Norway’s top ski resorts, scenic ski slopes, family-friendly environment and recently added snow-making system, this resort offers something for all ability levels from gently beginners slopes to off piste terrain. It also has a host of other activities, perfect for an all-round winter holiday, including day trips to Bergen and the spectacular ‘Norway In A Nutshell’ scenic fjord cruise and a ride on the famous Flåm mountain railway.
As far as things to do: Famous ‘Norway In A Nutshell’ excursion • day trips to Bergen and Ulvik • cinema • fitness centre • bowling • squash • tandem paragliding • ice-fishing • ice rink (weather permitting) • sleigh rides • folk museum • cleared walking paths • arts, crafts and souvenir shops • many restaurants, cafés and a couple of local bars.
Transportation:
Voss is conveniently located only 100kms from the gateway city of Bergen, and is easily accessible by road, rail or plane transportation to Bergen, followed by a bus transfer to the resort. The quickest and easiest way of reaching Voss is by via air travel, but is also the costliest. Train travel takes a close second place, being affordable, comfortable and efficient.
Six daily buses run from Bergen to Voss, taking approximately 1 hour, 45 minutes to reach the resort. This is the quickest and most convenient way to reach Voss, but if you’re on a tight budget it is somewhat impractical.
