I have had an ISA and dealing account with Interactive Investor since switching from HL post RDR. I know they have had bad publicity elsewhere in the forum but I have to say that I have had no problems (ok they were quite late with tax certificates last year). I have phoned them a few times about for example adding funds to their list of funds available and have always found them very helpful. I also like the fact that you can pool family members accounts and only pay one set of fees.
AJ Bell on the other hand have made some serious errors on a couple of occasions and I have had to take them to the Ombudsman.

It's funny my experience was the direct oposite, no issues with AJ Bell but took II to the FOS, due to unpaid monies in my ISA.

If you are only holding Gross Acc funds in your ISA and don't trade often, you'd probably be quite happy with II.

You wouldn't need a tax certificate and you wouldn't be receiving your dividends/interest late, and they wouldn't have to make any tax reclaim - there would be little for them to get wrong.

Also II seem to have discontinued pooling of family accounts.

I am completely and 100% happy with AJ Bell youinvest. My sipp fees are capped at £25 a quarter, so no change. Their dealing site is fast and efficient, messages are answered very quickly. I have been with sippdeal from start of vesting the pension in 2006 and they have gone from strength to strength. They showed their true colours when my husband died last year ( I was his sipp manager btw and vested his pension) and they could not have been more helpful or patient. I don`t hold any funds, only shares or cash as appropriate to stockmarket conditions

Also II seem to have discontinued pooling of family accounts.

It was left in place for existing arrangements.
