Hi, my daughter has got DLA for 2 years, she turned 16 and had to claim PIP. I sent off her psychological assessments etc and had a charity fill out her forms.
Anyway we received a text last week saying they have all the info they need to deal with the claim. Does that mean she won't need a face to face assessment ? How long do you think we're gonna have to wait X thanks X

It definitely doesn't mean she won't have to have an assessment. It definitely doesn't mean she will either. For people who get that same text in my first hand experience it's about half and half do and don't have assessment.
How long you have to wait for an assessment depends how long the queue is in your area.
While not a popular piece of advice - I would just wait and see and not phone DWP to find out.Master Apothecary Faranell replied, “I assure you, overseer, the Royal Apothecary Society dearly wishes to make up for the tragic misguidance which ended so many lives. We will cause you no trouble. We seek only to continue our research in peace".0 -
Many of the texts sent by DWP and the assessment offices are basically generic messages so don't read too much into it. They are basically just informing you that they have received the information you sent.0

Update. I did ring and her case is with the decision maker ! They said possible 3-4 week wait for an answer .0
