Can obtain the leasehold information pack after 5 molnths!

I'm really at a loss on what to do now. The freeholder has yet to supply the leasehold information pack and we sold our flat 5 months ago! Repeated requests from our solicitor are to no avail.
There is a problem with the deed (the flat numbers were basically put on the wrong way round upon building construction) and now the freeholder is just hitting us with 1000's of pounds worth of bills to rectify something that was their mistake to begin with, stupidly we never had a survey done and didn't spot it.
I dont know whether the freeholder is just trying to get us to cover his legal bills to rectify the deed before he releases the pack which is necessary for our sale to complete. Whatever the case it seems he holds all the cards and has us backed into a corner and can just keep stalling and demanding money.
At this point though im considering whether the freeholder is doing it delibrately so we lose the sale and he can come in with a well below market price and resell it on to the next sucker who he can do the same thing to.
This has all caused a lot of stress now as we have our buyers getting fed up and the vendors of our next place threatening to pull out of the sale.
Is there anything we can do to force the freeholder to supply us with the leasehold information pack?
Thanks for your time.
Also worthy of note is that our solicitor says the name on the lease is changed every 3 months and they've never seen anything like it.

i think these are different circumstances than that thread (non duplicate) due to us not even being offered a pack even though were willing to pay for it. We've been given no option to pay and thre freeholder is simply withholding one altogether0

How will strangers on the internet help with getting the leasehold pack. It clearly is a poor Freeholder but something no amount of keyboard warrior will sort out. I'm afraid you have to sort this out some way or another...."It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

I'm just asking for advice on how to proceed or if there's anything we can do other than the simple requests so far, not trying to be a "keyboard warrior" in any way, shape or form0
