What can be done for wheelie bin access

I went to do the snagging on my new house today and found a strange one I could do with advice on please.
It's on a steep hill so garden is almost useless. At the botom of the garden is an access path for two houses to take our wheelie bins to the front on collection day.
There are 6 steps upwards past the end house. These are as steep as house stairs. When I spoke to the site manager he said he would do what he could but on this one point I think he was trying to fob me off.
Is there anything I should do as I'm supposed to pick up the keys on friday.

Lets get this straight. Say my house is worth £100K, it drops £20K and I complain but I should not complain when I actually pay £200K via a mortgage:rolleyes:

Do what most people do and leave the bin out the front. It's an eyesore but I can assure you most of the neighbours will do it.
The chances of you getting anything changed by the builder are slim, sorry.0 -
Your garden isn't useless you can still use it for recreation. I've been to people's houses whose gardens are on a hill and where they have put in the effort, like with any other garden, their gardens have been lovely.
I've lived in a few houses with wheelie bins and I currently have one now.
Basically you either have them in your garden/yard and have to drag them out to the front or back of your house for collection, or (like now) you just leave the wheelie bin near where it can be collected and have to walk down with your bin bags to put the rubbish in the bin. I prefer the second method as wheelie bins can stink when it's hot and depending what you put in them they can be really heavy and awarkard to drag. Just make sure you don't block your neighbours' access.
Plus as councils are always changing their rubbish collection methods it's not worth arguing for a place for the bin as in a few years time your council could decide that wheelie bins cause people to throw away too much rubbish in landfill so they want to go back to using black bags (like in one place I lived) , or they want to decrease the size of the wheelie bin and give you 3 different sized recycling bins.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)0 -
put one of these in your front garden, if you don't want to look at your wheelie bin and recycling boxes
