HighView Parking ticket - overstayed

Hi all,

My sister in law has got herself in a little pickle with Highview parking.

Her mother received a charge notice (as I'm assuming car is registered in her name) via post with 2 images of her daughters car going into a car park and then coming out, the problem is she overstayed.

Charge Notice:
The vehicle was recorded on our client's property at 'Stadium Retail Park, Wembley' from 11/07/2016 10.15 to 11/07/2016 12.46. The recorded duration of the stay was 02:30 (hh:mm) and the vehicle contravened the terms and condition displayed on the signage.

Unfortunately due to her naivety she replied and said something along the lines of her mother was not the one driving and it was her instead!!!! She had gone past the 14 days reduced rate and thought by saying this she would be given the lower charge to pay again.

I've told her that she's probably thrown her chance at getting the appeal reversed as she's given up the driver.

However can anyone provide any advice on whether she has any other courses of action from what she's already done?

She submitted this yesterday so there's not been any further correspondence from HighView yet.

Kind regards,
Z

I think max time is 90mins usually... I've not had much information as she's just told me today.

Is there a facility to purchase extra time there? If not, I would say that a maximum of two hours was inadequate to have a meal and visit all the shops on the park.

The condition therefore would appear to be unfair and against consumers' interest and probably not sanctioned by the Council.

Contact them and see what the planning permissions had to say about length of stay, some PPC have been known to reduce them without permission.

Highview are not litigious so paying is not on the agenda. She should NEVER have said who was driving because it bins a decent appeal point - but, hey ho, she may as well have a crack at POPLA based on the other appeal points you will see in other threads.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
