We`ll have to agree to disagree but some on these threads defend the bankers no matter what.
How people "invest" and save is up to them.
Where they put their cash is their own affairs.0 -
I think you probably need to learn the difference between 'defending the bankers' and 'pointing out the glaring holes in a fallacious line of argument put forward by a basher'!We`ll have to agree to disagree but some on these threads defend the bankers no matter what.
I'm sure everyone can agree on that, unsurprisingly really when it's just a trite statement of the obvious without any obvious connection to the rest of the thread! Clearly your money will be somewhere well clear of the UK banking sector that's institutionally corrupt and stuffed with criminals out to defraud the taxpayer, etc, etc, zzzzzzzzzz....How people "invest" and save is up to them.

Generally if I see people bashing businesses or professions with what can appear to me to be undue criticism, I'm happy to offer an alternate point of view if I have one.but some on these threads defend the bankers no matter what
As it's popular to bash banks or other parts of the financial industry, who are clearly out for themselves (just like the savers and investors are out for themselves shock horror), anything i say that doesn't just go along with the mass hysterical disgust at a particular action by a financial firm can sometimes make me appear like some sort of white knight, always ready to defend any action by a business - which isn't really the case.
I do generally prefer capitalism to communism as long as there's some sort of control or regulation to stop it getting too out of hand. Some people seem to think that it is all way out of hand if anyone is allowed to change a product before the bank or building society first reduces their profits to zero.
But that's not how an economy works, so there needs to be some realism, or at least someone playing devil's advocate to help people understand what might be happening on the other side of the coin instead of just getting upset about it.0
