Morning all
Sunny here again today, the fish have been fed and hubby has a cuppa.
He will carry on painting, I will carry on clearing out.
Hugs to Lainey, AOD & Csarina, good luck for those with interviews.
I will have to water the grass today when I feed the cats, she is certainly getting her moneys worth out of me, feeding, and cuddling to cats, feeding 2 fish tanks, watering 15 indoor plants upstairs and down, spraying half a dozen air plants, outside I'm watering 3 gardens and the lawn now we haven't had any rain. Hey ho, think of the money!
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester.
Chin up, Titus out.

Morning :hello:

Good luck Furry x

I've had a book on my bookshelf for ages – The Desperate Diary Of A Country Housewife by Daisy Waugh. It's not my usual thing at all (I like sci-fi and crime) and I'd never heard of the author. The plan was to read anything unread then get rid to make more space. This isn't going to work – I'm halfway through and loving it and will read it again, plus I now want to buy all of her books :D

I've been weeding the pots, I have no idea how so many weeds ended up in them. I reckon the compost we bought must've had lots of weed seeds in it, the amount that are growing just isn't normal :D

My lists are organised, I didn't manage to start any of the jobs yesterday though. It's much more fun to play fetch with Scampi :D I have one load of washing on the line, will hang the towels out when the machine's finished. The shopping's coming this later this morning, it'll take me a while to sort that out. This afternoon I'll be gardening again, and trying to teach Scampi that yes you can dig, but only in these two places - not everywhere. He gets big praise when he digs where he's allowed, and a sharp LEAVE IT when he does it all over the lawn. He's decided it only counts for 30 seconds after I've said it then goes straight back to wherever he wants. Wilful little thing. Frustrated me.

Our walks are quite short at the moment, there's too many children around for Scampi to cope with. You hear about kids being inside, glued to the telly/computer all the time but that doesn't seem to happen here, they're out on bikes and scooters and playing on the swings. Which they should be. But sometimes I wish they'd all stay in so we can have a decent dog walk, lol.

Good morning everyone :hello:

I had my therapy session yesterday and it was quite difficult for me. After promising that I would have a nice calm day I came home and my sister rang to tell me that a friend of ours had committed suicide the night before. I feel so so sad about it, that this lovely lady felt there was nowhere to turn and that no one could help her. I hope she is at peace now.

Following that bombshell, my hubby came home early from work as he had a doctor's appointment to discuss some recent tests. He has been quite breathless for a while but had an x ray which showed nothing out of the ordinary. His doctor is still concerned and has referred him to see a specialist. My hubby has to use a lot of different chemicals at work and the extraction system is not very good. He is now wondering if that is what has made his chest bad.
So I am having a bit of a wobble, my CMHT lady is coming again today which will be helpful I hope.

I also wanted to wish Furry and Mr Coxy good luck with their interviews.
I hope you soon feel better ancientofdays x

I hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care and please please please talk to someone if you are feeling it's all a bit much xxx

I am so sorry about your friend and well done on going to the session even though you knew it would be difficult.

Good luck for job interviews to Mr coxy and furry.

My dd has an interview tomorrow for a job she would love so crossing my fingers and toes.

I got up early as it was really hot and I wanted to put out the recycling bins and be ready for the builders. Dishwasher is whirring away and kitchen is looking a bit tidier. If the hottest day of the year is due then I am so glad I treated myself and ordered a cooling tower fan. I am not good in the heat and my feet swell so I want to pre empt problems.

I hope so much that results are good and show the treatment is working well.

I have defrosted sausages for later and will decide whether to have sausage and mash or else sausage and SW chips with veg.Once the builders arrive I need to post a parcel for DD and get some bread, eggs etc.

Hugs to all

• Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Bright sunny morning, not sure how windy it is I have not been outside, only just got up. Trying to get as much rest as I can they are saying that OH will be home tomorrow. I am not happy about this, not sure what I can do though...........I will speak to the Drs myself when I go in later. As far as I know he is not really mobile, that in itself is a problem.

They told my step son last night it could take up to 4 months for the clot to disperse...... hmmmmmmmmmm........not sure if he had any blackouts yesterday, not happy about those either.

I did manage to get the back grass cut, or rather scalped it in the hopes that it will not grow too quickly.

Nothing planned for today except to rest and read, I am going in either this afternoon or early evening, depends....

dumpling - so sorry about your friend, how shocking for you. Hope DH gets some answers about his chest problems.

csarina - can't believe the hospital would send your DH home so soon. Surely they should make sure he is stable and mobile first.

elona - good luck to your DD for her interview.

How lovely to see you posting Judi - and to hear that things are improving for you and OH and the wider family. Congrats!

I've had another funny kind of day. I drove up to Oban for a meeting with the intention of going to Aldi and Lidl afterwards before heading home. When I came out of the meeting at about 12.30 there was a very long and mostly stationary traffic jam towards town. After waiting in the queue for about 15 minutes I drove on the wrong side of the road towards the roundabout and turned towards home instead. I think it was hordes of anxious teenagers and parents heading to the High School for exam results. The traffic was queuing right back about half a mile too.

Back home I did some more turfing out of 'stuff' in anticipation of my visitors tomorrow and then settled to read all the paperwork from the meeting. Now I have poured myself a gin and tonic!

Hope everyone has had a good day with interviews and friends and all sorts of other stuff.

Hi sorry not been very well lately. Find holidays especially hard with my daughter as she has no routine and as her phone is broke none of her friends are in touch. A touch of black dog although realise there are a lot of you in worse predicaments.
It was a good drying day yesterday and managed to get rest done today. Made a start on getting new uniform for daughter at weekend. Rest will have to be ordered online to come to our tiny Asda. Still no news about husbands job and someone been spreading malicious lies saying my daughter has been self harming.
My daughter is 15 tomorrow. So her choice of takeaway for tea.

Hugs to those who want /need them.
• I went in and collected OH after he had been sitting in th discharge lounge for 3 1/2 hours, he was told that he would have to wait another 2 hours before he got a lift home. I am more than disgusted with the way he has been looked after this time. I will be writing to the pls with a long list of complaints.
