    My OP was more about the information on the cheque, not the cheque itself, I know they're on the way out.

    But the information? Would you happily post the information on your cheque here? After all the bank obviously thinks it's safe, so surely it would be okay?
    Utility and credit card companies obviously think it's safe, too, as they put that information on their paying-in slip which are still attached to the bottom of all their bills.

    If your profit margin is 25% on card sales then the charges represent a significant 7% of that gross profit.
