I was wondering if someone was able to do this months puzzle for me. I’m quite unwell at the moment and cannot concentrate. The shaded letters spelt left to right spells out a saying. Thanks in advance. I’ll post all the usual details once one of you lovely people help me out. Rick.

    https://www.puzzler.com/national-puzzle-day-2018

January 29 is National Puzzle Day and it's all the excuse we need to kick back with some of our favourite puzzles and a cup of tea, the perfect combination! Why not join us? Crack our quiz questions and you could win a fabulous 'puzzle pack' containing delicious Qi teas, a bundle of puzzles, and a Parker pen – just add hot water!

For your chance to win our super 'puzzle pack' prize, you'll need to crack our five puzzle quiz questions, below! When you have all five answers, take the first letter of each and rearrange the five letters into a word that's associated with puzzles, and in which no answer letter appears in the same position as its question – this is your prize answer.

    1. What was the operation codename for the D-Day landings, which landed a crossword setter into considerable hot water in May 1944, when he included it in a puzzle for the British newspaper, The Daily Telegraph? (8)

    A: Overlord

    2. What name is given to a maze, particularly the construction built by Daedalus in Greek mythology to house the Minotaur of Crete? (9)#

    A: Labyrinth

    3. Can you complete this anagram of TOM MARVOLO RIDDLE, used by JK Rowling in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets: I AM LORD ___? (9)

    A: Voldemort

    4. What name was given to the cipher machine, invented by German engineer Arthur Scherbius, whose codes were deciphered at Bletchley Park in Buckinghamshire, England, during the Second World War? (6)

    A: Enigma

    5. What 9x9 grid logic puzzle achieved such popularity following its publication by The Times in London, that its Japanese name was chosen as the Oxford Dictionaries UK Word of the Year for 2005? (6)

    A: Sudoku

    Prize Answer: SOLVE

Not sure if anyone will be interested in this one due to the £3.99 price tag, but there's a new Puzzler mag:

I would have loved to start helping this thread but I arrived too late to get this one... are there any other Puzzler magazines that need to be covered?
Wins for 2018: Ettinger Valentines Goodie Pack, Plastic Ain't Fantastic Calico Bag, Chocolate treats, Knitted Miffy Toy and a Jungle Bunch DVD!
