Paying for holiday in euros

Hi,
I'm about to book holiday accomodation to France which needs to be paid online in euros. I obviously don't want to incur bank charges for paying in a foreign currency so wondered if getting a prepaid euro card would be okay? Or another way to avoid the costs? I bank with natwest.
Thanks X

How about one of these...

Just don't use it to withdraw cash.0 -
If you have a smartphone sign up for Revolut on their app. Load some pounds with your Natwest debit card, convert to euros and you're ready to pay with the virtual card. Order the RevolutCard to use on your trip. All free and they will give you a fiver if you load >£500 having entered 'MSE' as promo code when you sign up.

+1 for Travelex Supercard0

OP is 'about to book', perhaps before the price rises. Using Supercard would entail waiting for the physical card to be delivered (7-10 days?) whereas Revolut can be ready to use with the virtual card in minutes.Evolution, not revolution0

Mine only took a few days to arrive, but you're quite right the best solution may ultimately come down to how quickly the booking needs to be confirmed/paid for.0 -
Are you not best to use a payment method that offers you protection?0

Do you have a Metro Bank close by?
Walk into a branch preferably with some ID and come out with a current account, internet banking all set up and debit and credit cards in your hand ready to use.
No need to transfer banking if you don't want to either.
No fees for euro use of either card and good exchange rates.
