OK - so you know that your name does not go anywhere in this, not in the acknowledgement nor the defence? He is the named Defendant throughout and HE has to attend any hearing, he can't send you alone (although you can go with him).

However it is informal, not like criminal court cases or anything too stuffy, just a decision being made over a consumer monetary dispute. You either get told to pay in the end or not - but it is worth the fight.

You are at the same stage, same boat. Sharing a pm with a person in the same situation is OK, but DO NOT reply to any private message offering to assist, from any newbie with less than 1000 posts. There are some nasty people out there and some will pm a poster here and are not who they seem, or have a greedy agenda. Could be a parking firm, could be anyone.
