Old wallpaper paste

You'll laugh at this....
I have one unopened sachet of Polycell wallpaper paste and one opened sachet with a wire tie round it - packets dated 1987.
Also have a pack of 10 unopened sachets of Solvite all purpose wallpaper paste, probably 15 years old.
My question is does wallpaper paste have a lifespan - just wondering if I should keep this stuff, give it away or chuck it out :-)

Open a packet and mix some up - if its sticky, keep it, if not chuck it out!0

Unsure but most wallpapers pastes have a anti fungi killer in it some of the better ones guarantee for 10 years0
