Got a parking ticket from parking eye-is ignoring it really best!?

Hi wondering if anyone is able to help me. I got a ticket fro Matalan retail park in chelmsford for being 20 minutes late back to my car. I appealed it purely because of the reason I was late (when i was basically back at the car I couldn't find my keys, so i had to retrace my steps to find them). They rejected my appeal asking for evidence, but the problem is I don't have any? I window shopped for a bit and then my nephew bought some seeds and bread from home bargains with his pocket money as he wanted to feed the ducks which we did on our way to tesco. So from the retail park that was the only purchase but he is 7 years old he doesn't keep receipts? I provided them with that information by using their online form as this was the only way I could contact them. I then rang them a week or so after saying I hadn't heard anything and I wanted to ensure they received the extra info, the girl said yes they had and they will be in touch. That was over a week ago-still not heard anything and I am going away on holiday tomorrow for 2 weeks. Clueless what to do in this situation as I have never had a parking ticket before. In the other forums people are simply saying ignore it but I am moving house soon (currently living with my grandparents) and I don't want my poor nan and grandad having bailiffs knocking on the door? Is leaving it really the best thing to do? Should i do another online form to explain I am going away for two weeks? any advice would be appreciated as Im kinda panicking here. Sorry for the essay!

No, do not ignore. Obtain a popla number from parking eye, read all the newbie threads and start to create an appeal. Post it here for approval prior to sending it off.0

never ignore a parking charge invoice in england or wales , especially NOT parking eye
the NEWBIES FAQ tells you what to do depending on which PPC it is
PE issue over twenty to thirty thousand court claims per annum, so not a good idea to ignore them
no bailiffs will be knocking on the door , that is fiction on your part
you would have to be taken to court , lose , and not pay the judgment within a month before a CCJ was issued and only then would it go to bailiffs , clearly you have no idea about the process
PE have 35 days to respond , if they dont cancel they will issue a popla code valid for 28 days
so if you have or get a popla code, draft a popla appeal and submit it within the timeframe
any court action , if any , is months away

Ouch yes it might be. Not much hope at POPLA appeal re that site - so the OP needs to assertively ask the Matalan Manager lady to cancel this and quickly. Insist, insist, insist!
And the OP and Chelmsford locals should consider boycotting that notorious 'cash-cow for PE' flagship rip-off retail park, all the time PE remain infesting it.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
