Fresh install of firefox

Hi. Could someone please tell me how to get a fresh install of Firefox?

I uninstalled it from downloads as well as programs but when I re-installed it installed my old version. I want a new account on Fx not my old ones.

I've got to go and pick up my son but I will check back in later this evening for any info given. Thanks.

Even though it talks about XP and Vista, it should still work!
(Where you talk of "account" they talk about "profile", by the way...)

Thanks for that. I don't really understand a lot of it though! If there any more upto date instructions that anyone knows of?

Why not go through it, working with the instructions which say "Vista and above"? You're not going to get anything more straightforward...

%APPDATA% by entering it in search windows box

Rename the Mozilla folder to OldMozilla ( renaming instead of deleting so you can refer back if required)

Change "Roaming" in the Windows Explorer address bar to "Local" and rename the Mozilla folder there the same way.

Install Firefox.

firefox -profilemanager .....press enter
then create a new profile ......

Or just firefox -p if you want to save a bit of typing.
