Dishwasher broken in AirBnb

Hi guys,
I am staying in an AirBnB in Europe.
The dishwasher in the flat appears to no longer function (not powering up). I don't think it's our fault (it appears to be a very old/cheap model).
I've checked the AirBnB website/terms to no avail.
I just want to check am I liable for fixing it? What are my rights?
Thanks
Pjbltd

    Have you checked the fuses?

Tell the owner to get it fixed. Make sure you send through the AirBnB system in so the messages are logged. You can only be liable for negligence, not wear and tear.
Take a mini video showing it not powering on. Also showing the condition. That also protects you against the owner smashing it and then stating that you hit it and that is why is isn't working.
Don't reveal the existence of video and pictures unless the owner tries it on...then you can send the evidence to AirBnB.
But in first instance(after shooting your video), contact the owner through the AirBnB system in order to inform them that the dishwasher is not powering on.

Alternatively you could always do the washing up the old fashioned way. I wouldn't let a non-working dishwasher spoil my holiday.

I suppose it's one of the risks you take in booking through AirBnB compared to a conventional hotel or apartment business.

It's not about whether the dishwasher is working or not. It's putting it on record that it's not working.
