TV Warranty And Repair

Four months ago I bought a Samsung 32'' TV from Richer Sounds which included a 6 year warranty . Now I fear that I might have a problem which will need repairs carried out to it . Who does the repairs is it Richer Sounds or Samsung . Do I have to return it to them or do they come to my home to repair it or do they give me another TV

The problem might not be a problem when I have the TV turned off on standby not at the source there is a single crack about every 10 minutes coming out of the TV this has just begin to happen now i turn the TV off at the socket and it seems to be ok

Read your Richer Sounds warranty .
Contact the store in the first instance .

    It says .
If you are experiencing difficulties with your purchase during the Richer Sounds extension period, be sure you have checked your product fully by referring to the manufacturer’s instruction booklet. Follow the instructions carefully to ensure the fault cannot be corrected by you. If you still have no success and your TV is 39" or under, or a projector please contact your local store. If your TV is over 39" please call us on 0333 900 0094, either way we’ll do everything we can to help!
What is covered? 1. Full parts and labour (subject to exceptions below). 2. For TVs above 39" Home pickup and delivery (TVs under 39" and projectors are return to store). 3. If the unit cannot be repaired we will replace with a similar specification model. 4. Pixel drop out as per the manufacturer’s specification.
Due to the complex nature of these products, Richer Sounds will use appointed specialists who are managed and monitored by Richer Sounds, to help ensure that we can fix any issue in the quickest and most efficient manner.

Your contract is with Richer, not Samsung, so you take it back to the store. It's then up to them to work out how to repair it. Maybe they do it themselves, maybe they contract it to someone, maybe they send it back to Samsung.
Anyway - this cracking when the TV is turned off - is this just the parts cooling down, and contracting after being warm? TVs (including flatscreens) have done this for years, and it's not a problem per se...

    .
The OP shouldn't have to drag it to the store, especially if it's a large screen TV (which it is far wiser to leave in situ).

See what Richer Sounds can offer in terms of arranging an engineer visit to your home, OP.

My advice was more general but good to have the specific information about Richer Sounds. The TV is 32 inch, which for me personally, would be easier to 'drag' to the store, rather than waiting for an engineer booking.

Being small and female, I had no problem with collecting a 42" tv from Richer Sounds, so returning a smaller one should be no problem.

Our last tv was just within their range (at the time) for RS collection and when I mentioned that it would be easy to bring the tv back ,should it need repair, they said they collected that size , free of charge so I should take advantage. (no problems, though)

From this, I assume that they collect for repair and don't repair in your home.
