premium bond standing order returned

Have been buying premium bonds once a month by standing order with no problem, July's payment was returned to my bank (santander), phoned ns&i who said they had a problem with a number of standing orders because they have recently changed banks. Every time I phone them (3 in total) they say it will be sorted and the bond will be in Septembers draw, have been recommended to cancel standing order for August's until this been sorted, any one else had the same problem

still not resolved, and have heard nothing from them so could be affecting others who do not check to see if their standing orders paid out
