Cannot believe how quickly this year has flown... My DRO is officially over.
The 'relief' I expected to feel when my DRO was approved did not actually happen- rather today knowing it's all done has brought that relief.
Just wanted to post to show those currently going through a DRO that there's light at the end of the tunnel. Yes I have another 5 years until my credit file returns to 'normal', but The second hurdle is done!!
Thanks to all who helped me out

Leave it a while, and you will probably find that Vanquis, and Capital One Classic will offer you small credit facilities if you want them, as will most catalogue companies.
You may not want to rehabilitate yourself just yet, credit wise, and that is fine, but if you do, spending small amounts and paying off in full each month will help you in your journey.0 -
I actually just applied to a JD Williams Catalogue, and got accepted with a £150 credit limit.
Using this and paying off in full each month will improve my history won't it over time?0 -
It will, slowly but surely.
You must really steel yourself to pay it in full as interest rates are horrendous, and do try and avoid any tempting offers to increase credit limits. Failing that, do not use any larger credit limits, the more credit available that you actually use is not good. E.G, credit facilities available £1,000, total used £100, is far better than total used £900.
These are tips and pointers only, credit rating and credit scoring are viewed differently by each creditor organisation, but good luck to you if you do decide to use small credit facilities in the short to medium term.0 -
Appreciate that advice. Makes perfect sense. Unfortunately JD Williams have quickly reversed their decision and no longer wish to provide me with an account!
I half expected it to be honest. But good thing is I already have a Vodafone contract which I've been paying for over a year on time. I also have a £4 sim only contract which is purely for credit building from ID network, I have an APS CASHPLUS prepaid card with CREDITBUILDER on it, and my credit file shows my AVIVA car insurance. Hopefully within a year or two my history will look much better than right now. Slow and steady....:A0
