Keeping DOG in a DOG HOUSE in the Garden?

My opinion is there are a few differant types of dogs and by that i dont mean breeds i mean working dogs, we have 2 working dogs out of our 3 and our dogs are mostley kept outside, when we are in they are out and yes if theres fireworks or thunder they come in but if it rains then they have a kennel to go into and they are not left out when i am out, they have a room dedicated to our dogs. Our male dog is very vocal when he hears other dogs or kids climbing up to try and get into back gardens and that puts them off, it also put off a nutter who was hasseling out neighbour and she is now gratefull of the noise that our ben makes and her nutter has now disappeared, but really ben is the biggest softie you will ever meet but they dont know that his bark is worse than his lick, so i see no problem having a dog as a guard dog ben is even when he is in and the door goes he barks and i know of other working dogs who are well looked after but are kennelled 24 hours a day and bad weather fireworks etc they get brought into garage so its not unusual for dogs to be outside but i would recomend a bigger breed, ben is a springer spaniel and quite a big one and being in the garden or run gives him a good deal of exercise as he runs about most of the day, when most house dogs only get a few walks a day.
What we done to get the dogs used to being outside we waited till ben had company Jody another springer and they both went out together as a bored dog will bark for no reason but do watch as they produced a litter or 3 puppies which we haddent counted on as male dogs will do what they can when female in season and he ramed his way through fence separating them. The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0
