Where to park in central London?

Most of the West End is now pay by phone.
The northern half is Camden Borough, and last time I checked, parking restrictions ran to 8:30pm, and in some places 10:30pm, 6 or 7 days a week.
The southern half is Westminster and mostly is free parking after 6:30pm. If you are there on the dot of 6:30, or you are already parked in a pay bay, you can then park all evening.
If you want to park for free earlier in the day at the weekend, you can do so in St James Park area, and walk across Green Park to the West End.
Easiest parking around Piccadilly/Leicester Sq is around Jermyn Street/Pall Mall area.0 -
Car parks or parking meters are good.Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0

I understand that the banks of the Thames when the tide is out offer plenty of free spaces. You might even be able to park under a bridge.0

Especially for the OP I think there's really good parking at platform 9 3/4 at kings cross station.0

Could you not park on the outskirts and get the tube in? Thats what I tend to do.0
