Which Printer is compatible?

I have a desktop computer HP running windows 7 that is 7 years old.
The printer came with as a package and has now completely died.
How do I know which printers will be compatible with my computer? or will they all be O.K?
Also, Do I need to go with HP? I presume this would be easier to install

Any printer should be ok.
HP would not necessarily be easier to install, all pretty similar, i.e nearly foolproof, just be wary of installing all the help/update programs that come bundled with a new printer.
The biggest expense with a printer is the cartridges, so make sure compatibles are available.
Rule of thumb: expensive printer/cheaper cartridges vs cheap printer/expensive cartridges.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
You need a printer which has Windows 7 compatible drivers - either from the printer manufacturer, or from Windows. If the drivers don't come with the printer they may be downloadable.
Easiest way is to find a printer you like then search online for windows 7 cpmpatibility for it.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0
