Credit card help please

We are due to go on holiday soon so unsure whether to apply for a credit card or not what is the latest before we travel that i should apply. Also if i am accepted but i dont use the card will it matter?

Why leave it till "the latest?" Get your application in today.

If applying for a card from your own bank - apply by phone and they'll tell you how long it takes.

If applying for any other card - do it online, and do it now!

If it arrives too late for your holiday, you don't have to use it, but if I were you I would activate the card and use it occasionally, to build your credit record and to keep the card active until your next holiday.
