Knocking down external wall

Options
Hi does anyone please know if you can knock down what is in effect an external wall but appears to be an inside wall because it's the wall between the kitchen and dining room (previously coal store)

If that makes sense.....:rotfl:

You can do anything. But you need to check to see if it is a supporting wall. If it is you will need engineers calculation to work out method of support and you will require building regulation approval.

Does it make sense, yes and no.

You need a builder rather than a structure guy to help.
To the educated eye it's almost always blatantly obvious, across an internet forum, it's a recipe for disaster. Sorry.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

You need the structural engineer first. Most builders will have one they use and so you can go to a builder first but you won't get any definitive solution until the structural engineer does their thing.
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

No, you don't, it is simply not rocket science

It's a visual check and a guarantee from the builder, it does not need a SE

You wouldn't bother with building regs then?

There are enough posts on here about builders that have removed structural walls or suggested removing structural walls without sufficient support.

Employ a structural engineer when you want to know something about structural engineering!
