Swift Insurance - not so swift!!

Having had some painful dealings with Swift Insurance recently, I thought I'd have a surf to see if anyone else is experiencing their low levels of service.

moneysupermarket has several unhappy customer comments - but nothing on moneysavingexpert! Is it just me?!?!?!?

Anyway, my story is straight forward enough.

Guy drove into the back of my car at a roundabout on the 4th July, he admitted liability, I got a quote for the repairs and took a picture of the damage, sent it to Swift and nothing happens...

To-date I've sent 6 emails asking what's happening.

I've has a mixture of responses, in chronological order:

- The engineer will authorise tomorrow - nothing happened
- We've resent the file to the engineer - nothing happened
- We're waiting for the engineer - nothing happened
- It can take up to 3 months !!!!!!!

The standard response relating to the third party insurer question is 'we haven't heard from them...'

Having previously worked in the Insurance industry for over 10 years, I know from experience that Insurance Brokers avoid using POOR insurers - even if they are cheap. So, why don't https://www.moneysupermarket.com and https://www.moneysavingexprt.com strike them off their sites. Surely my (and the others on supermarket) experiences can't be isolated. They are obviously poorly setup and offer extremely poor service in the event of a claim - even if they are cheap.

I'm now at the point of contacting the third party to see if we can sort the claim out between us - it was only £250 worth of damage after all!

My advice - avoid swift like the plague - they really are awful!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone else have any 'swift' experiences to share? And some tips perhaps.
