Playmobile, Lego, Imaginext ?

For those of you in the know, can anyone tell me the difference or the preferences with imaginary play figures. For a 3 - 4 year old boy moving on from happyland figures?

My son used to play with Little People. He moved from them to playmobil which he loved and then onto lego when he was a few years older
Problem with lego is they have the build before they can play and it's easy broken. Playmobil has many themes and a lot of it can also be played with in water

I would say that the imaginext is a lot sturdier, with fewer tiny pieces than playmobil. Lego is more for the building than the playing with (at least with my kids) you could look at some of the duplo sets which are easier for small fingers to put together.

Lego is great, but you'll find that you end up having to build most of the sets for the child, and then they take it apart and lose half the bits, and then you threaten to superglue it all together like the bad guy from the Lego Movie.

The larger Playmobile sets still take hours to build but once they're built that's it. Never heard of the other one.
