Benpal definitely does not show revalued pension. I worked for Abbey 1995 - 6 and when I log into Benpal it shows my pension as £236 PA. This was my pension at date of leaving. I phoned JLT last year and they wrote to confirm that my current pension is £378, not the £236 shown on Benpal.

Likewise, I can't have been the only one who spluttered when reading the line 'to put aside any fears she has been dealing with any dodgy things...she was introduced to the idea of an investment in car parks (Overseas and Domestic developments)'. 'Introduced', 'investment in car parks', 'overseas' - blimey, if that was a scam, minus points for the scammers being quite so cliched.

I completely agree with hyubh on this- car park rentals is a very large scam area, despite any profits your uncle may have had. He could be an investor getting good returns such as early investors in ponzi schemes.

I'd run a mile, pulling her along behind you.

I'm not trying to be rude, but how many times do I need to say the same thing?

SHE IS NOT INVESTING IN CAR PARKS!

THE INVESTMENT WAS ASVISED AGAINST, possibly correctly.

ALL of my posts are about looking to see about possibilities with her AN pension whilst retaining her benefits. Right now, other than the one figure shown on BenPal we don't know what these benefits are.

I.e. Is there a lump sum?
    If there is, how much?
If there is, can it be increased?

I understand everyone wants to ensure she isn't scammed, however she is NOT interested in this type of investment any more as stated in the first post and many replies after!

This is interesting, she has asked for an up to date benefit statement so we'll see how it comes back. Thanks :-)
