have just got a new tosh satellite laptop . Had a harddrive which had backup photos from previous 2 computers .. which i have downloaded on to new machine .
However it is showing that some photos are in individual folders on "desktop" ... but then more photos and folders under the "pictures" click .
Is there a way i can just have all my photos in the one same place .. and easy way of getting them out of folders .. to rearrange etc .
having to keep opening multiple folders to see what is in them is hard work .
Could i even with a couple of clicks just get every photo to show individually .. in date order based on the date it was taken ?
thanks

i would first organise photos and then install google photos. point to photos folder and then view you photos via google photos. all photos will be available in same window and it includes a clever search function
i have all my photos in one folder called 'memories'. that is divided into yearly sub folders."The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0 -
I've got mine in a folder called Photos. Under that are a few with names like "family gatherings" "days out" etc. Each of those has further subfolders for specific events.
Unfortunately there are lots of other folders under photos with names like "Need sorting out", "more need sorting out", "New Folder" "New folder (2)" "New folder (3)", etc. etc.

Search on *.JPG (assuming that they are that format) on the C: drive and cut and paste the results into the correct folder .0

that is why i just sub folder into years and let google photos sort them into events and special occassions."The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0 -
Maybe I'll take a look at that.

+1 for searching for *.jpg
This will show every image file as if it's in the same folder.
There are all sorts of programs and apps out there that do effectively do this via a fluffy bunny interface, but half the time these programs install a tonne of junk and slow down your PC, especially if you install anything made by Apple, who it seems deliberately code their software to f*** up windows PCs.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
