Marriage Allowance

Hi
In April I applied for Marriage Allowance and I was told I could also apply for last year and that a cheque would be sent to my husband. He hasn't received anything yet and I just wondered if anyone knew how long it usually takes.
Thank you

Same as. I applied mid April to transfer the allowance from my wife to me as she earned about 9K last year. I earned 15K.
The way it was worded seemed like I would have received a cheque quite quickly. But it's been nearly 4 months and still nothing.
I did see in a post somewhere on here in the Cutting Tax area that HMRC is predicting all Marriage Allowance rebates would be in June.
It's now August and hopefully the cheque will arrive soon but I am not getting my hopes up.
Also my tax code was changed to 1216M within a week so it has been done.0 -

I have called today and been advised that it hasn't yet been finalised but that it will be sent through to their sorting office and should be done within 5 working days and that I will then receive a letter and a cheque so hopefully it won't be much longer now.No one is going to stand up at your funeral and say
