Hi
Can i get some advice from you all please.
I've got a pair of shoes on ebay at the moment they end tommorow and currently have 1 bid.
I've had a question from some bloke ( not the bidder ) saying name your price can i collect when i win? ( thats all it said )
Now this immediately made me wary I've looked at his feedback and he has 80 something feedback with 1 neg.
I don't know if it's me but it freaked me out a bit. I certainly don't want any one coming to my house.
BTW they are normal shoes and not even well worn ones:rolleyes:

I suggest either ignoring them or send a polite reply thanking them for their interest but explain as you already hav a bid it would be against ebay rules to withdraw them now. Explan that you cannot allow callers to collect as your dog is unpredictable and may cause harm!!!!MFW - We've only gone and blooming done it!May 2013:j0

You can withhold it, and then when the winning bidder needs details to post payment, then you email them with it. It is on settings somewhere (sorry can't remember exactly!)Unless you only accept paypal then you never need to dish it out!!

I would be seriously considering blocking him from my bidders.
He sounds creepy and I wouldnt want him to win and know my address.

You're selling something, someone is keen to buy it, and you assume that the keen buyer is some sort of crank??0 -
I'd make it clear that collection is not an option, and you will be letting the bidding run. I wouldn't worry unduly about one badly worded ASQ being the work of a weirdo, I don't think it's that likely tbh.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
If you're nervous or worried about it, then just ignore him & block him from bidding. If you think that's a bit OTT, reply saying no, its an auction. I'll be posting from Uni (100s of miles away) rather than my parents address - or something that let's him know there's other people in the house. From MSE Martin - Some General Tips On Holiday Home Organisations and Sales Meetings
