Hi all,

I was at my gym this morning as I do every Saturday and have come out to find a parking ticket issued to me by Gemini Parking Solutions. It turns out the car park is pay and display, there are signs which I have never noticed.

My question is: is it worth me going through the appeals process. I have looked online and they are a private company and lots of people have successfully appealed but as I had not paid and displayed I am concerned. They are asking for £60 in the first 14 days and then £100 in 28 days.

Advise would be greatly appreciated!

Lots of good reasons to appeal, viz, what is the fine in a local Council car park for the same offence? Is this a new payment regime? Did you not see the signs because they were insufficiently prominent?. Was it dark, were they lit, obscured by trees, too high, were the letters too small? Do they have authotity from the landowner, planning permission for their signs?

But, before you do anything, read the stickies and FAQs.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Read the NEWBIES thread, it's why it is near the top and gives you a template appeal.

Gemini are small fry, easy to beat but get the appeals right.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
