Using student overdraft to make money...
Comments
-
I attempted to do this during my uni years and had both Halifax and Barclays accounts. However by then end of year 2 I NEEDED to use my overdraft just to afford to live! I had no financial help from parents and two part time jobs but as my workload from Uni increased I had to eventually drop both jobs ( I was on an intensive course however, may be easier for you).
All I'm saying is that it's a good indea in principle, and for sure make the use of it now to save.. but don;t automatically expect to leave Uni with money in your pocket. After my 3rd year I was 3K in debt. this would ave been about 12K if I hadn't 'stoozed/invested' in first year however.
Good luck!0 -
Yeh I don't want to have to dif myself in my overdraft... so save or not. I think I will stay in the green for now and see how life gets along, I start on Sunday and get my loan on the Monday (well ~1/3 of it).
Job hunting on Monday afternoon, hopefully, if I get a well paid job I can save some of that to...0
