TNC/CPS Midlands Parking Ticket. What can i do??

Hi there,
Hope someone out there has a solution to my problem. I've been struggling with a parking ticket I received back in January for a while now.
Firstly some context (pardon the long winded story):
I regularly park at a centre where you have to sign in your car to park in its parking. At the date of receiving the ticket I followed this procedure and signed my car into 'the book' and also paid for access - so they will also have me on their electronic system as using the centre.
On leaving the centre I had a PCN stuck to my windscreen (with that annoying glue that takes weeks to get off and serves as a constant reminder that 'you owe them'). It was timed as just before I signed into using the centre, it is literally a two minute walk between the car park and the centre.
I immediately spoke to the guys at the centre who said they would have a word with the attendant and get it cancelled. I have an e-mail from them the next day confirming it was cancelled.
Fast forward to June. I receive a letter from TNC parking services telling me I still owed them for the ticket, and that I should write to CPS Midlands - 28 days non POFA within 28 days. I did this by recorded delivery which arrived to them on day 25. I have now received a letter from CPS Midlands saying that my case has been passed to TNC Collections and i must instead deal with them.
I feel that these guys are taking me for a ride and their unwillingness to provide e-mail addresses and telephone numbers only makes this even more difficult.
Any help on this issue will be immediately rewarded with gold in the next life.

Forget phoning them. Never phone a ppc or debt collectors.
A ticket isn't cancelled till it's confirmed by the issuer.
You can ignore debt collectors.
If you get any court papers then you will have to deal with them. So don't lose that email! (Let the email writer know now you are getting this harassment and ask them to confirm back to the PPC that the ticket should be cancelled)0 -
Is there nothing I can do other than ignoring it to resolve the issue? I don't want them adding more fees and it just sitting there.
Which of these companies are the PPC? CPS Midlands? Will they not just refer me back to TNC?
Surely I should still be dealing with CPS if I responded within 28 days?
These people are the worst.0 -
You can only kill this by getting the centre to get it cancelled - get the writer of the email to help (or kill it now by paying which is not intended as a recommendation)0

Please stop thinking there has to be a 'next step'. What do you think we all did before any POPLA or appeal was made available in late 2012? That's right, we ignored the rubbish FOR YEARS and the sky did not fall in. I ignored 4 or 5, lost count laughing at them!
The BMPA - a free charity advising victims of 'parking terrorist' parasite firms (and I am a member) - say this:
http://www.bmpa.eu/companydata/CPS_Midlands.html
''Our recommendation for this operator: See if site will cancel. Otherwise ignore all but court papers but keep paperwork. Get pics of the site / signs if you do get a ticket and keep for later.''
Seriously you are wanting to do something about a scam akin to a phishing email. Treat it like one. Get it cancelled by the landowner if you can, if not treat it like the dirt it is. Yes they are the worst, that's why we fight them. You are very welcome to join us if you like, stick around, some of us come here every day to help newbies and if you read threads regularly you will be able to advise too.
We are not legal experts, just ordinary people who have been here a while and have seen it all. I'm just a Mum who works in a School; I do this to help people because I find it easy to spot the appeal or defence issues and I like scam baiting/writing letters to hit home to scum like this lot. Others here are similarly minded, wanting to end the very worst of this ridiculous scumbag and shameful UK 'industry' which includes various money-grabbers and ex-clamper thugs.
Nothing to do with parking management or any service to consumers.
One of the most litigious firms is ParkingEye who rocked up thanks to some fat cats after some quick bucks, a few years ago:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2713705/The-parking-ticket-fat-cats-one-s-chum-Prezza-two-drive-Aston-Martins-Meet-men-ve-millions-motorists-misery.html
... and now that firm take all and sundry to court, scaring the pants off people who dare to park at Aldi or Morrisons or a Hospital, etc, ripping up to £100 from their pockets or suing them if they don't pay. Their employees must be sooo proud. The parents of their employees must be sooo proud of them, what a job! If any of my kids did that job or similar trash like PPI reclaim cold calling, I'd consider disowning them!
ParkingEye's was a business model that the Supreme Court shamefully upheld as 'not unenforceable/not a penalty' and 'commercially justified' last year, despite consumer law normally supporting people against such 'fines'. The UK top court moved the goal-posts for Capita-owned PE, your guess is as good as mine as to why. The decision made no sense to Mr Beavis the victim, nor to any ordinary person who drives a car. TBH that 'decision' just fired us on.
You have an invoice from one of the minnows, nothing to get worked up about. This is nothing at all, even if they try a small claim.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
