Child Trust Fund

Hi, my daughter is thinking who to place the Child Trust Fund with for her new daughter. On looking at the literature it would seem that a Stakeholder Fund would be the best bet. The question is, which Stakeholder provider would be best. Any thoughts?

I don't agree with your premise.
I would go either for cash funds (which are giving a high rate of return at present) or for a non-stakeholder CTF which either operates on less than the usual 1.5% charges or which has the prospect of higher growth.0 -
I agree with bb. Stakeholder funds have little to offer other than trackers. Where you invest should be priority before costs. Ignoring options that may be 0.25-0.5% a year higher in charges but offering 5-10% a year greater potential is not a great way to decide how to invest.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
