Hello,
I've recently graduated from university and will be starting my first job soon. I have been advised by a number of people that it is useful to look at getting a credit card. However, I am not sure which ones I should be looking at.
There seem to be so many aimed at different things e.g. balance transfers, travel money etc. Personally, I'd quite like to get something back from my credit card, such as Avios miles or airline miles, but the main thing is to find a suitable credit card.
Any advice and/or suggestions would be gratefully received.
Thanks!

Wait until you're in your job, then give it 3 months. You won't be accepted without that.
Then try either your own bank or one of the sub prime cards. Pay in full each month and you'll build up a history that will let you get something better down the line.0 -
and then if it is your first credit card you may not have much choice - most of the good deals and perks are reserved for people with good credit histories.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans
