For once I am actually going to praise a car dealer! Bought my car last year a 2012 clio, and the other day the window wipers refused to work, took it to a non dealer mechanic and was quoted £250 for the repair, I contacted Renault to see if they could do anything it really shouldn't happen on a car that hasn't even had its first mot yet, They told me that clios had a 4 year warranty and it would be covered! I didn't know A) it had a 4 year warranty when I bought it, and
didn't realise that warrantys would carry over on a 2nd hand car,
To top it off it seems its the UPC (whatever that is) needs replaced and wouldn't have been the part the other garage would have replaced, Saving me hundreds of pounds it appears, So thanks Renault

If it hasn't had a MOT yet...you may be overdue. A 2012 would have had its first MOT in 2015.0

My local Renault are terrible.
They sold me a second hand car, admitted something didn't work on it, fobbed me off for 3 years with botched repairs which didn't work, then when they did get round to actually working out what was wrong (new mechanic with a brain!) they then wanted me to pay nearly £1500 for the repair, despite them having put in writing that it had never worked since purchase.
Renault headquarters, on the other hand, were fabulous, and agreed that the local dealer was being unfair.
A threat of legal action and some help from headquarters, and my car was finally fixed, as it should have been when I bought it!
Even then, I booked it into repair several weeks in advance, then got a phone call 3 hours after I had dropped it off saying they hadn't got the part. Duh!!
So a big thumbs UP to Renault headquarters, but my local Renault franchise/dealer were beyond incompetent!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
