csarina, hope your DH starts to recover now they know what's happening. No suggestions re the delivery I'm afraid apart from phoning the hospital to see what their plans are.
Topsy - Sorry DS didn't get accepted for the Army, I'm sure he will find a suitable apprenticeship soon.
MM - Enjoy your weekend away.

I'm going for a swim in a bit then heading down to Yorkshire for the weekend, with a visit to Chester and N Wales on Sunday to see relatives. Works out quite well as my DB and SiL will be there too so I get to see everyone.

Washing on the line, DW emptied, just need to have a quick hoover round later and give the bathrooms a quick clean. Made a hot water bottle cover yesterday, quite pleased with it - I'm loving this sewing thing!

    Take care. XX

    Morning all

Looks like it might be a nice-ish day here. Still no baby! Yesterday OH had day off, I had various appts in the morning then we (me, OH and kids) went to the beach for a wander. We had lunch in a little cafe and walked along the beach playing with football. It was rather windy but nice to be out.

Today I'm dropping the kids to MIL shortly, popping to get bread and milk and then maybe meeting my parents for lunch but they haven't confirmed yet.

OS wise - 2nd load has just finished in WM and 3rd load is ready to go in (we have had days of rain here!). All will be out on the whirly. I'm going to make some soup to freeze for next few weeks so I have some easy meals ready for the chaos - carrot and coriander I think. Need to hoover downstairs and empty recycling bags.

    Have a good day all

    Morning,
I have been missing for a few days, been sick can not hold anything down they think it could be one of the tablets they put me on, hope it gets sorted out soon.
I have been in bed since Monday so I have done nothing.
OH has been making his own meals and tiding up, plus he did the washing and got it dried
Hopefully I will feel better by the weekend and be able to do some ironing.

Csarina, Hope you OH is feeling better soon.
LaineyT, Hope everything goes well for your mum.

Speky you have my sympathy re office politics. I'm certain it contributed to the mental breakdown I had in 1999. My being child-free didn't sit well with the other ladies; and when they realised I was child-free by choice my name was most assuredly Mud!
Still, I guess you can't have very long to go now, though - just keep on truckin' and look forward to your LDS (Last Day of Service).;)

I really can't understand why people are like that LW, I don't like people who have kids and then don't care for them properly, but for someone to have or not have children by choice, well to me that is how it should be.
    Chin up, Titus out.

Mum has now heard back from the hospital, they want her to go in on Monday for a CT scan this time, they are certainly being thorough but the waiting for results is tortuous :(
  • Lainey, I know the waiting is dreadful, but as you know they need to be sure. You have another long weekend ahead of you.

    Sending hugs

    Hugs to Lainey and csarina.

Builders have nearly finished the work and just need to come round for a couple of days next week to finish things off. The house and back garden look much better and I feel much happier.

Middle dd comes round tonight and will stay over and older DD, her husband and cat come round tomorrow night. Looks as if I will be cat sitting till Monday morning.

If I get time tomorrow morning I want to make a large cottage pie that I can just reheat in the evening and then do a quick tidy round.

    Hugs to all
