Just seen the comp running on CabGuru's FB page, I've entered (and won a couple of weeks ago). They're asking for your most unusual dining experience and still getting sob stories that don't even answer the question.

I see a lot lately that say something along the lines of 'oh well I never win anything but I might as well try...' Not only do they sound like Eeyore but they sound like serial compers, which I know most of us are, but...

Lots of illness and sob stories on that one post. It did get a bit much after looking at about 10 posts.
Why do folk type things like that? especially if it's about a relative that's suffering. I still don't get it. It's just uncalled for.

Not sob stories or a competition but over on the freebie decoration for Prostate cancer awareness, there's seeral people replying on their fb post "yes please",
some on it's own, others followed either by why they want one (relatives who died or are being treated for it) or by things like "it'll be an honour to be sent one", "would love a man tree decoration ", "I'd be proud to have one on my tree".

It's not a random or non random pick from comments for who gets one - You have to apply via a form.

There's also somebody spamming free Knights Templer playing cards, and another trying blag freebies
"good day!I really like your company ,you are the best of which we know ,I ask you to send free gifts,logo of your firm ,and any help for the residents of Ukraine .Thank you send to this address"

Diamond heaven-to win a ring- why do you deserve to win? Lots of people "I'd don't deserve to win more than anyone else but..." Lots of first time mothers and one lady died and was brought back and is suffering from all these aliments ect. I mean I like diamonds, I love jewellery, but I'm not peddling out my near death experiences and my worldly ills for bling. My entry looks a bit crap but it's all I've got the nerve to enter without getting annoyed and not bothering. Never mind diamond heaven, it's sob story heaven. I'm loosing the patience for social media comps again- thank God some are still forms!

Victims of injustice, images of famine-swollen bellies, despair of those at the very end of their tethers, cries of injured innocents in war-torn parts, any loss of a loved one - these are all worthy of tears.


But you didn't win some crisps or deodorant - get a grip!!

I’ve not won a sausage coz I hate these type comps and there is a lot out there.
