    Some crackers on this comp

Somebody has posted a photo of their sick child in hospital!!

There's another poster who put up a photo of their son proposing to his girlfriend. I only mention it because I've seen this photo on several comps recently.

My favourite one was the person who wrote that their pet caterpillar has athlete's foot!!!

Some of the sob stories are actually being replied to, and folk are trying to defend themselves.
That bloke proposing is going to need a new knee.
There was another one saying they needed the money 'cos their donkey needs a new prosthetic leg :rotfl::T

Thankfully the 10 winners have been chosen and no sob stories! I wonder if they were rejected or just luckily avoided.......

Curiously though, 7 out of 10 winners did enter within the first 40mins of an 8 hour competition (.....I'm not suggesting winners aren't selected at random, it's just an observation :D )
  • not a sob story but cluelessness.

On a facebook post offering "a free sample of delicious PG tips Strawberry Cupcake Green Tea"

"Hi, do u do free samples because if you do could you please send a tea bag to me please"

+ others usual comments of 'liked and shared' and how much they love the company/product range / 'would love to win/try this', "please send me/please may I have a sample" and one person even posting their email  even though you apply via a form not by commenting or liking/sharing the post.
"And suddenly I find myself listening to a man I've never known before,
    Telling me about the sea..."
  • Just caught up on this thread and am crying laughing!

Me too! Unbelievable that people feel the need to tell their whole life stories just to win shampoo or something!

    This one just tickled me.

    For a cheese comp,

    Wow super duper #giveaway 👍
Happily liked n shared 💖 sharing is caring 💕 Fingers crossed 💞 This would certainly make my day indeed to be your selected winner xx

Just a little over the top, with all the imoji too, but doesn't actually say which type of cheese they would like to win:rotfl:

I thought I'd seen it all until yesterday when someone posted about cheering up their daughter who'd just had a full term still birth, just to win a tiny bag of Hotel Chocolat chocs. What possesses people to share such personal information, especially when its not even their own, for such a trivial prize?
best wins to date-£500, 48 theme park tickets, Holiday to Italy+£250, Venus makeover package, laptops, pro-audio gear, £500 B&Q, £1500 Gucci bag, £1000 Maplin

    Again no shame :(

What a thing to tell the whole world, every man and his dog and every perv on the internet.

I don't care how good or bad the prize is I ain't giving them any personal information.
(Unless it is about my Dalmatians spots ;) )
