Once again, as this story shows, a hire company doesn't seem to know the difference between real and fake fines:-

As per the terms, the £84 admin fee does apply if we receive any paperwork in regards to a penalty charge notice which we have to handle.
A spokesman for Green Motion told the Post & Times: "There is a signed agreement when someone takes out a hired car that there is an £84 administration charge if we have to deal with fines. Motorists are fully aware of the agreement with us."

£84 is a penalty in its own right! The highest I've seen mentioned.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
