I wondered if someone could help me with this question:
Does an estate of a deceased person have a 'personal' tax allowance - ie the £11k that is an individual's personal allowance?
How is income - ie from investments etc taxed during the Administration period?
Thanks

...but it is possible to claim back tax paid from the start of the tax year til the date of death if the part year income is less than the personal allowance.0

And a beneficiary of the residue can reclaim income tax paid during the admin period on their share if they have tax allowance available.:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls
