Maps in Windows 10

I am running windows10 when I click on on the maps app nothing is there.

Can someone tell me how to correct this?

Do you mean it appears blank , or that it doesnt show your location ?


If it is the former then try the following.
In the search box, type powershell , right click it and choose "run as administrator"


Then, in the blue box, type


Get-AppxPackage *windowsmaps* | Remove-AppxPackage


(You can copy and paste that)


That will remove the maps app .
Close the blue window, reboot your computer and go to the app store and download maps again


It should work now

yes it does it appear blank and does not show my location

The above should fix it, bear in mind that it wont show your location if you have location services turned off in settings (perhaps obvious but ill state it anyway)


But even with location off, you should still see a map

Why not just use google maps, or viamichelin or ...?
