Nationwide have a £100 switching incentive now

Are you sure? I know they had this earlier in the year, but I don't see it on their website right now...

Edit: Never mind, I see that it's a friend/family kind of thing. Cheers.

If the plan is to reduce the 1-2-3 balance by £5k to get the interest from Club Lloyds, you're looking at a gain of about 1% of 5 grand; £50 pa.

No, I will have 20k in the 1-2-3 account and put 5k additional money into the Club Lloyds account. I'll have about 5k spare after this, which is currently sitting in my Halifax account, earning me £5/month with their reward incentive. As soon as TSB has their switch offer back on, I think I'll move the Halifax account over to this. I suppose I could switch this over to the Nationwide now to get their incentive too, or simply make yet another current account.

For the Halifax account you only need to pay in £1000 a month and have direct debits so it's definitely not an account you should ever switch.
You should also open the Tesco Current account to get the 3% interest on £3000. You can then open a couple of Tesco Saver accounts to get direct debits for all your accounts.

If you want to get a switch bonus then open another account and switch that to get the bonus. I have done this a few times and have many current accounts and I have never had any trouble getting credit.
